Shadow of the Giants 50K
33 magic miles of scenic trails through the Sierra National Forest.

Where: Green Meadows Outdoor School, Fish Camp, California.  2 miles outside Yosemite National Park on Hwy 41. Only one hour drive north of Fresno International Airport.


StartTime:         7am for 50K, 7:15 am for Fun Run.  8-hour limit for 50K
Entry:

$65 before May 23; $85 thereafter including race day.  No refunds. Limit 200 runners.
$25 for 25K Fun Run, you run on the 50K course.

Course:
31+…miles of old forest roads and single-track trails.  Passing though 3206-year-old Giant Sequoia Trees in famous Nelder Grove, bring your camera.   Elevation-gain over 3400 ft.

Always magic, ask anyone!
Aid Stations: 
Every 4 to 6 mile, please carry water at all times.
Awards:

Overall winners; men/women and age groups.  Our “Magic” Raffle will follow the awards, bring your chairs and enjoy the fun at Green Meadows Outdoor School.

More info sent to all entrants, course map and accommodations in the area etc. Sleeping-bag dorm facilities available at GM only $12 per night.  Friday night pre race meal starts 5:30pm at GM, only $14, all you can eat.  Non-runners welcome. Please request meals with entry, it is popular, funds help the Merced School District.  Help the kids. Sorry, GM wants you to leave your pets at home, me to!
